What I will do (yes I am from the USA) is go to AAA and there you can buy travel packs of Canadian money.Buy 200 or so, then when you get there use an ATM to get cash. Makes no sense to think that anywhere you go that isn't in the US, they will readily take our currency,,especially when it is down and we are in a bazillion dollars in dept already (as a nation).
